Subaru WRX STi EJ257B - This engine is found in the 2008-current STi (and some earlier Legacy models). This new engine features dual AVCS (Active Valve Control System) Factory power rating is 407nm @ 4000 rpm and 221kw @ 6000 rpm. This engine is perfect for the 'Tuner market' Dual AVCS offers the tuner the ability to extract massive power whilst retaining great low end driveability. The Kelford range of camshafts feature a very new camshaft design technology we term 'ICE'. This design tequinique results in a combustion efficiency gain for these engines. USDM EJ25 - (2005-2008) equiped with Subaru's awesome AVCS (Active Valve Control System) on the intake cams only. The cams are easily identified by the triggers on the rear of the intake cams, they will be machined to have three 'keyway / slot' style triggers. If your engine has the 'paddle wheel' type triggers, you need to see our EJ20 Version 7-10 range with the V2-199 part numbers. This range of camshafts feature high velocity lobes that have a wider 'sweep' across the cam bucket, therefore these camshafts can only be used on shimless buckets or buckets that have the shim underneath. These profiles can not run on the earlier Version 5-6 buckets that have the shim on top. | |||||||||

Version 5-6 - engines that do not have AVCS. In this range we list camshafts to suit the stock bucket with shim on top and also some higher lift versions that suit engine builders that change to the 'shimless' buckets. The cams for shimless buckets can not be used on the conventional shim on top system. We believe that Kelford Cams make the best high performance Subaru camshafts available.
