Identification Top: The easiest way to identifiy the BIG bearing versus the TORINO bearing is the size of the T-Bolt. Torino (sometimes called Late Model Big Bearing) applications have 3/8 (0.375") t-bolt, while BIG bearing applications employ a 1/2 inch (0.500") t-bolt.
In some cases it may necessary for you to measure the STAND-OFF of your axle from the axel housing.
STAND-OFF is the distance (where the OE backing plate or caliper bracket bolts to the housing) and the outer face of the flange on the axle itself.
In most 9" Ford rear ends the STAND-OFF measures 8.5".
When the measurement is less than 2.5" BAER must custom machine machine the caliper anchor plate.
If you provide a proper STAND-OFF measurment before we build and ship your system, there is no charge for this custom modification.
