Give it your best shock!

KYB has long been recognized around the world as a leader in the design and production of state-of-the-art gas shocks and struts. Innovative engineering, proven reliability, and superior ride quality have made KYB shocks and struts standard equipment with manufacturers such as Ford, Mitsubishi, Lexus, and Infiniti.

When you get KYB shocks, you're getting performance that everyday shocks just don't have. KYB gas shocks and struts feature auto-adapt valving for a smooth, controlled ride, seamless cylinders and eye rings for durability, and multi-lip seals for long life reliability. With KYB, you get more shock for the money.

1 Velocity-sensitive valving
KYB's multi-stage valve compression enables the shock to adjust to road conditions automatically. Under gentle road conditions, the valving allows the shock to travel freely for maximum ride comfort. As conditions get rougher, the shock is compressed faster. The valving responds instantly, to make the shock response firmer, maintaining tire contact and vehicle control.

2 Sintered iron pistons and guide rods
Sintered metal provides far greater strength than traditional metals, extending shock life and durability.

3 Floating piston and monotube design
The KYB Gas-a-Just's monotube design and floating piston keep oil and high-pressurenitrogen gas completely separated. This eliminates the aeration and foaming which cause shock performance to fade under hard use.

4 Micro-smooth, hard-chromed piston rods
Even tiny imperfections on the surface of a shock's piston rod can cause premature wear of the oil seal-the most common cause of shock failure. KYB shocks and struts have the smoothest hard-chromed rods in the business For extra-long life and reliability.

5 Seamless cylinders and eye rings
Most shock cylinders and eye rings are formed by wrapping flat metal into cylindrical shapes. The welded seam that holds the cylinder together is a real weak point-high loads and repeated wear can split seams, resulting in complete shock failure. KYB shock cylinders and eye rings are extruded cylinders with no seams. No seams mean no weak points and no seam failures.

6 Multi-lip seals/self-sealing packing
To keep a shock working, you've got to keep the oil in and ontaminants out. KYB GR-2 shocks and struts use a triple-lip oil seal and KYB Gas-a-Just shocks and struts uses a self-sealing packing to ensure proper performance.

7 Patented check valve
Hard use can mix the oil and gas inside a shock into a foam, seriously degrading performance. KYB GR-2 shocks and struts use a special check valve to minimize foaming for reliable performance, even under tough conditions.

KYB Gas-a-Just Shock Absorbers

KYB Gas-a-Just Shocks and Struts are designed to deliver maximum driving control and performance. KYB Gas-a-Just's higher gas pressure keeps tires glued to the road while its high strength, monotube configuration provides extra-rugged durability and fade-free performance.

KYB GR-2 Gas Shocks, KYB GR-2 Gas Struts & KYB GR-2 Gas Cartridges

KYB GR-2 Shocks and Struts are specially designed to deliver a smooth, comfortable ride. a patented check valve minimizes foaming and aeration to make sure the ride stays smooth, even under rough conditions.

KYB Strut Boots & KYB Strut Mounts

KYB Strut Boots and KYB Strut Mounts help you make a better intallation while improving vehicle safety and performance. They protect the strut from the elements and play a vital role in vehicle handling, alignment, braking and steering.
